DenseNet(Densely Connected Convolutional Network)
DenseNet (Densely Connected Convolutional Network) was proposed by Gao Huang, Zhuang Liu, Kilian Q. 1. Dense Connections:
The most prominent feature of DenseNet is its “dense connections,” where each layer is connected to the previous layer. In a normal convolutional network, each layer only receives information from the previous layer, but in DenseNet, every layer receives information from the previous layer. This allows feature maps to be reused and allows the model to extract more features.
2. Bottleneck Layers:
DenseNet uses bottleneck layers to reduce the number of model parameters and improve computational efficiency. The bottleneck layer reduces the computational cost of the model by decreasing the convolution filter size.

DenseNet consists of tightly coupled blocks, each block containing multiple convolution layers, batch normalization layers, and activation functions (usually ReLUs). This allows feature extraction to occur within each block.
4. Transition Layers:
A transition layer is inserted between each tightly coupled block in the DenseNet. Transition layers are used to reduce the size of the feature map and control computational cost. It usually includes mean pooling or convolution.
5. global pooling and classification layer:
The final block is followed by a global mean pooling and a full concatenation layer for class classification. This allows the model to perform final class classification.

Challenge for DenseNet
